EightBit AKA. Matt Macabre, illustrator and fine artist. EightBit’s solo exhibition “Presage” is now on at the Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Museum & Gallery.

EightBit is based just outside Manchester UK, his preferred medium is ink and paper based works though ocassionally he dabbles in aerosol art and various ‘live painting’ events including Sketch City, Best Joined Up, Secret Wars & Subism, he will essentially try any process available to me but am much more inclined to create with his hands than digitally. He likes the “craft” of it all.

During his time in this gig he has had the good fortune to meet and work with some wonderful talented people, exhibit his drawings worldwide, and have also produced artwork for some unfeasibly high profile clients including Sony Playstation, Diesel, Red Bull, the North Face, Nike SB, and even did a stint of set painting for the TV show Hollyoaks.

He’s more than happy to sell-out at the drop of a hat if it means doing what he loves pays for doing more of what he loves. Please contact him if you have a project/exhibition/whatever that he can help out with.
